For what appears to be a typical Chinese takeout joint, their food was actually quite good. I ordered General's Tso's Chicken w/ fried rice and an egg roll, and she ordered Chicken and Broccoli w/ white rice (unsure of the type of sauce). The bathrooms could use some cleaning, but I'll definitely try this place out again.

Labor Day gathering at the Lucky Star. No place else in town was open and the place had a line to the door. Walsh University students getting take outs and the folks not wanting to BBQ waited anxiously for Asian cheap eats. This evening you could tell how busy they had been as ever table in the place had dirty dishes covering them. New dish mango chicken sold only in quart fashion, no combo plate, had a hefty amount of fresh mango. The chicken broccoli combo plate that includes pork fried rice and veggie egg roll was delicious. The Kung pao chicken extra spicy had just enough extra heat to please. Extensive take out menu.

Great for take out!!! Food is always ready in about 10 minutes after we call. They have a pretty large menu as well so something for everyone like the other yelpers mentioned it's kinda small but you can def dine in but they don't have fountain drinks drinks are bottled water / cans of pop. Love the service and the hours can't beat the prices/ portions either

My wife and I order from here all the time! The vegetable lo mein gets better every time we order. They recently added mango chicken and it is absolutely superb. They recently started taking credit cards so we go there more often now! The employees are very nice and when you call ahead it only takes about 10 minutes for your order to be ready. Overall, great place, great food, great prices.

I was intoduced to Lucky Star by a friend who lived in China. He loved this place. I love American Chinese food and apparently this place is the right balance between the two bc I also love it. I am hooked on the pan fried dumplings. I usually get the beef or chicken and broccoli. Yummy and flavorful. Fresh veggies that arent mushy lumps. My friends love the wonton soup. My nephews love the noodles and sesame chicken. My mom loves the pork fried rice. It's all good. Service is a tad slow because they make each order fresh. No steam table with heat lamps. There are great lunch specials with soup and an egg roll for like $5. Cant beat that.

Excellent food. Compared to the Chinese fast food in NYC, this place uses much better quality ingredients and they all taste pretty good. I am impressed.

Don't let the dining room (or the generic lighted food menu over the counter) fool you. This is NOT an average Chinese place! House pan fried noodles are amazing! Fresh and tasty. My family of 4 loves everything we've ever ordered. And no other Chinese takeout ever comes close to the "home cooking" done here. Plus the family owners are super sweet and always remember our name. One of our favorite places to order from.

Less then impressed with this takeout - especially since it received such great reviews! I'm wondering if those who wrote a review have never had decent Chinese food? The noodles were just that...noodles & soy-sauce: no cabbage, carrots, etc. The rice is just rice & ham: no egg, no peas, etc. The sweet & sour chicken was soft - not crispy. The egg rolls have a very strange bright red meat in them. I wont be going back. I've had AMAZING Chinese food and this didn't even compare. I would rate them lower then even panda express. I was really wanting to like this place since they're right down the street from me but I'll continue the search for good Chinese food here in Ohio.

Thank you for restoring my faith in chinese food in canton Ohio !!!!! I have lived in the area for 2 years and tried 8 different chinese takeout's and each one failed miserably compared to the takeout I would get in New York. I recently moved and decided to give this a try since it was close to the house. Boy am I glad I did!!! The restaurant was well lit clean and the girls working there were great. I have found my new and only chinese take out from here on out!! Don't Wait GO and eat you will not regret it!!!!!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
